What We Do

We offer a detailed tenancy
management coaching to help you grow
upon your stay in our property and continue
to live independently.

We aim that all the young people
under our care successfully manage their
tenancy and move into an independent
accommodation through our mentoring program.

Assist with everything from registering
with GPs and attending hospital
appointments to accessing education,
training and employment.

Coming to CG wasn’t in my plans, but I appreciate that it was part of my journey. I was there for about 7 or 8 months and came a long way. One of the things that I struggled with was balancing my new life now that I was a teenage mum. Being at CG, I learnt that It's important that I do things the right way, even though doing right isn’t always easy. I learnt that being accountable is stepping up and something that I can instill in my child. Staff helped me to remember and attend appointments. They helped me look after my baby and loved her as if we were a little family. My Support Worker has been great and I have appreciated our fun loving cultural connection. Thanks to their support, I have a balance and routine for myself and my child. I am now able to engage more with professionals, and I have stepped up as a Mother. My child is no longer under child protection with social services. Staff encouraged me when I was on track, but also held me accountable if I strayed slightly. During tough times, the staff were solution focused and always asked how they could better support me and my child. I’ll miss the warm, loving atmosphere where everyone just works together. I really want to say a HUGE thankyou to staff J and A for their resilience. It is largely because of their support that I am leaving CG with my baby. I love you so much and we’ve come a long way.

The past 6 months have been a rollercoaster and I would do it all again if it meant gaining my CG family. I made strong connections and learnt many things from every member of staff. The most valuable advice that I got was to be honest with yourself and others. I have said repeatedly that I wish that I did this from the beginning, but we move. I was supported by CG in every way. They helped me value the quality of my mental health more, and practice self love and affirmations. We did physical fitness sessions with one of the therapists on the weekend. Most importantly, they helped me care for my baby and now I feel more confident to do it independently. These basic skills added value. My support worker taught me to be mature, patient and honest. I have improved in the ways that I manage my mental health and I feel empowered to continue. The trauma and the past does not define me and understanding this has made me a better Mother and better person. I was encouraged often and given a very special award by CG for my progress. My concerns or anxieties were always heard and addressed. I was always made to feel like I had support if I needed it. I’ll miss the food, the parties and most importantly - All of you. You have become my family. Baby J loves you too. Thank you very much for each of your support. I know that I wasn’t the easiest but it’s all love.
